LOCATION: Convention Center - San Diego

The Judgment and Decision Making preconference at the annual meeting of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology highlights the emerging nexus of social, personality, judgment, and decision making research. The program consists of invited addresses and a poster session. The 11th annual Judgment and Decision Making preconference will be held from 8:30am to 4:30pm on January 28th, 2016 in San Diego, CA.

Registration will be handled by the SPSP Conference this year. To register for the pre-conference, please register for the main conference and indicate that you will be attending the JDM Preconference. Moneys will be collected by the main SPSP Conference. Poster Session

Attendees are encouraged to submit research projects to be presented in a poster session during lunch.

To submit a poster for consideration, please send the title of your poster, all authors, a 200 word (max) abstract, and one figure or table of data to The deadline for submissions is November 30th, 2015 at 11:59pm EST.

With generous support from the University of Chicago's Center for Decision Research, the pre-conference will offer a limited number of competitive $200 travel reimbursements to current undergraduate or graduate students who are first author on an accepted poster. In addition to presenting the poster at the poster session, winners of the award will also have the opportunity to present a 10-minute "data blitz" talk during the preconference. To be considered for an award, please indicate that the first author is student in your submission.

The poster session will take place during lunch. Presenters: You will be able to set up your poster during the morning coffee break. As a reminder, the total space available for each poster for the preconference is 4.00’ high X 3.00’ wide, so please design posters to fit within that amount of space. We will provide thumbtacks.
